Wow. I know that David didn't mean to do this (or maybe he did) but I finish that article with a very high estimation of Jon Kitna. Say what you want about him, there are changed lives as a result of his influence on the Lions football team.
As far as separating football and faith, well...
The Thicket is diametrically opposed to doing that, after all "Nothing in life is removed from God's sphere~only what we deliberately divorce."* Keep stirring the proverbial football pot Kitna, the more faith you season it with, the better!
